Used this camping overnight, a few degrees below freezing. A base layer and a button up shirt underneath kept me comfortable. I think some considerable layering would be required for the “wild arctic winters” the description says this is designed for. The hood is adjustable and I was able to get it adjusted perfectly so that my face (eyes) were exposed for visibility or completely covered for hunkering down. It will stay in either position because of the elastic cord. Hand warmers work great. The shell material seems a little lightweight, but I guess that’s by design. I’m interested in how well it will hold up.Not disappointed in my purchase.I usually wear a medium in jackets and got a medium in this one. Fits well with room to layer.
